People buy them from street vendors or flea markets, or perhaps order online, knowing they’re fake.

Because these pieces do not have the beautiful quality of other Chanel jewelry and use some inferior components found in pieces deemed to be fake, these get lumped in with all the inauthentic pieces in terms of what is collectible.
